Genetically Modified Organisms have been modified in laboratory settings to be able to resist toxins like pesticides. This means these foods withstand being sprayed with dangerous chemicals that eventually make their way into our bodies. Many studies have shown that consuming these foods causes lasting damage to our bodies and our own microbiomes (those helpful pests that live in our guts). GMO is bad for the environment as well, increasing toxins that flow into our air and water sources.
