What Are the Benefits of Green Tea Extract?

Today, it seems as if everyone is looking for ways to feel and look better, but the most nutritious elements are ancient remedies that have been around for centuries, such as green tea. The consumption of this unique form of tea began back during the early Chinese dynasties. Modern-day health consumers turn to green tea extract for its many nutritional advantages, such as EGCG and flavonoids. What kind of health benefits can you expect to get from green tea extract?

1. Powerful Antioxidants

Green tea extract is a great source of powerful antioxidants such as flavonoids and catechins. Antioxidants work to neutralize free radicals, so they don’t cause damage to cells and body tissue.

The extract also offers the antioxidant epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). Studies show that EGCG has medicinal properties that help fight disease associated with oxidative damage. 2. Stimulants

exercise. 

 

3. Assists in Weight Loss

Weight loss is one of the primary reasons people take green tea extracts. The ECGC in the tea enhances the body’s own natural furnace to burn energy more efficiently. It’s a process called “thermogenesis,” and it means an increase in the rate of metabolism without the cardio effects and jitters. At least one study found that taking green tea leads to an increase in energy expenditure by around 4 percent.

4. Improves Oral Health

Green tea extract helps destroy bacteria that can lead to tooth decay and periodontal disease. At the same time, it eliminates many of the components that lead to bad breath caused by the same microorganisms that are at the heart of most dental problems.
